Habits

In fact "all behavior", when repeated for over 21 days becomes a habit. 

       We are all looking for a MAGIC spell, potion or "quick-fix" that could change us without any effort

            but . . .

                      HERE ARE THE ACTUAL STATISTICS 

     17% of the public can experience success after only one session. They are the ones with a very strong will power.  They are the ones that make positive change on their own and it even seems easy to them.  They are the ones that do not need help . . .

     83%, the rest of us, require a full 21 days to change these bad habits or to develop new ones.  They are the ones that have tried, and tried and are seeking outside help. 

Here's the research behind it

     John Kappas PhD, a psychologist in southern California while working with the department of psychology at U.C.L.A., discovered that 83% of the hypnotizable population will “dream out” or “dump” the hypnotic programming installed by a hypnotherapist within 3 to 7 days rendering it ineffective.  Since most people don't remember their dreams, they are unaware of dreaming out the hypnotic programming they received.

     This is why many people that are hypnotized to stop smoking start smoking again within 3 to 7 days.  Or when hypnotized to lose weight do great for a few days and then go back to their old habits. What happened is they dreamed out the hypnotic programming to stop smoking or eat healthier and returned to their previous behavior.

      CHANGE:  is inconvenient, it involves making an effort.  The very word itself is defined as "doing something different".

 WHERE DID THIS 21 DAY CONCEPT START?

      Dr. Maxwell Maltz, MD, a plastic surgeon with New York Hospitals conducted extensive studies of why brain circuits take "engrams" (memory traces), and produce neuropathways only if they are bombarded for 21 days in a row.

     This means that our brain does not accept "new" data for a change of habit unless it is repeated each day for 21 days (without missing a day).

     The idea may be simple but the trick is in the determination to keep with it for the 21 days.  The old habit does not leave you, it is simply replaced by the new habit.  Old habits are not so easily replaced.  The new habit will need to be encouraged and nurtured to have any chance of survival and that is exactly what our program does.

How do you see yourself?

     All of your abilities, actions, feelings and behaviors will always be consistent with your self image.  You will always act like the kind of person that you perceive yourself to be. You "cannot" no matter how hard you try, out-perform, or act not in accordance with your self-image.  You may be able to do it for a short while, ultimately will snap back to the person that you perceive yourself to be just as if you stretched a rubber band, and let go of it.  It will snap back to it's original shape.                                        

     This explains what we call the Yo-Yo syndrome,  why so many times you may try to stop smoking, but ultimately you go back to it again, because you see yourself as a smoker.  The same with overeating, if you have an image of yourself as one overeats, you'll ultimately snap back to who you perceive yourself to be. 

     This works the same with any behavior.  If your self-image is self sabotaging, or one who just does not seem to succeed, even if given a large sum of money, you will ultimately find some way to lose it.

The Subconscious Mind

     The sub conscious mind is the most amazing computer in the world.
